Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shankar is an British and American sitarist. She also plays music. She was among the youngest and the first woman to be awarded a British House of Commons Shield she's had Nine Grammy Awards nominations and was the first artist of Indian origin to play live and to serve as a presenter at the ceremony. Anoushka Sitar Shankar was one of the Indian young sitar singer. She is Ravi Shankar's student and is also his daughter. She was born in 1982 in London. Her childhood years were spent in London in London and New Delhi. In the age of thirteen, she gave her first performance on stage in New Delhi. Then she moved in Encinitas CA, where she obtained her High School diploma with honors in 1999. Anouskha's career as a musician and performer is impressive, despite her young age. Since a while, she has been performing regularly with her father. In 1998, she released her first solo album Anourag. In 2002, she released an autobiography titled Bapi The Love of My Live this is a picture-based biography, which is a honor to her late father Ravi Shankar. In addition, she acted.
